Molteni was a former Italian cycling team active from 1958 until the end of 1976. Molteni was a salami manufacturer based in Arcore in the Milan region. As a team, Molteni won 663 stages. Many of those victories came from perhaps the most famous rider in Molteni’s ranks, Eddy Merckx. Merckx won both the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia five times. Two other well-known riders who were part of the team were Gianni Motta and Marino Basso, who had 48 and 34 stage wins respectively. In 1976 Molteni permanently ceased sponsoring the team.
