The 1960s and 1970s were golden times for cycling, and during that era an Italian team that stole the hearts of many tifosi shone: Salvarani. With their iconic yellow and blue jerseys and a stable of talented riders, they left an indelible impression in cycling history.
The absolute superstar of the team was undoubtedly Felice Gimondi. The elegant Italian, who joined Salvarani in 1965, was one of the few riders who managed to win all three Grand Tours (the Giro d'Italia, the Tour de France in 1965 and the Vuelta a España in 1968). His victories with Salvarani, including the Giro of 1967, 1969 and with Bianchi 1976, are legendary.
