Banesto is a former Spanish cycling team active from 1990 to 2003. The cycling team was sponsored by the Spanish bank Banesto. The team joined the peloton in 1990 as a successor to Reynolds. The best-known driver was Miguel Indurain, who worked for Banesto from 1990 to 1996. Indurain won the Tour de France five times and the Giro d'Italia two times. In 2003 the team ceased to exist, because a new sponsor was found, in Illes Balears.
