Cycling Jerseys - Men - REDTED

A replica retro cycling jersey from our exclusive RedTed collection. With the look of the past and the comfort of the present.

The RedTed Performance retro cycling jerseys have a silicone grip at the back and an elastic band with a grip at the front. Together with the elastic band at the (somewhat longer) sleeve, this ensures the jersey stays perfectly in place while cycling. The fabric is 100% polyester with a micro-hole ball pattern (breathable and lightweight).

These cycling jerseys are aerodynamic - so 'slim fit'; just a bit more tailored than the standard Retro Cycling jerseys. Because of the flatlock stitching, the jersey is sturdy and the seams do not irritate. The cycling jerseys are finished with a hidden long YKK heavy duty zip and have 3 large back pockets which are closed with an elastic band. The RedTed Performance cycling jerseys are available in 8 sizes, from S till 5XL.

ATTENTION: 'Italian' sizing and 'slim fit' so be sure to choose one size bigger than your usual European dress size. CHECK OUT THE SIZING TABLE.

Retro Cycling shirt Wiel's Groene Leeuw - REDTED

Here the cycling shirt of the iconic Belgian cycling team from the 1960s; Wiel's Groene Leeuw.

The Belgian bicycle brand Groene Leeuw, founded in 1929, was a prominent name in the cycling world, sponsoring several cycling teams from 1945 to the late 1960s. One of the most memorable teams from this period was Wiel's Groene Leeuw, which was active from 1962 to 1965. This team played an important role in cycling and produced some remarkable riders who achieved considerable success.

Riders included Benoni Beheyt who snatched ‘The Emperor of Herentals’ Rik van Looy from his third world title in 1963. Brothers Armand and Gustaaf Desmet. Both brothers rode for Wiel's Groene Leeuw. Armand's strength were stage races and Gustaaf particularly shone in one-day races.
Armand Desmet: Desmet was a strong rider in stage races, finishing fourth in the Tour de France in 1964, making him one of the best Belgian classification riders of his time.
International recognition was gained by Wiel's Green Lion with the addition of Spanish climber Fernando Manzaneque. Their presence helped the team form a diverse and strong group of riders, capable of excelling in both classics and stage races.
