The Tour de France is in full swing at the moment and of course we are following it closely. Have you always wanted to know how it feels to participate in the Tour de France yourself? The sporty brasserie Baan4 in Roosendaal has found a fun way to do this, as you can cycle a mountain stage yourself. Of course, there are also some great prizes to be won during this competition.

During the Tour you can ride along on one of the Tacx training bikes at the sporty brasserie Baan4 in Roosendaal. On a Tacx training bike you can cycle while seeing the beautiful Tour roads on screen. This way, you can cycle a mountain stage yourself. Therefore, you can experience how tough the Tour de France really is. A fun part of this activity is that there is also a competition.

Everyone who participates gets a 10 euro gift card to spend at Retro Cycling. The fastest cyclists will even win the Retro yellow '80' jubilee jersey of Joop Zoetemelk.

Wearing the yellow jersey is a great honour as it is the hallmark of the leader of the general classification in the Tour de France. The yellow '80' jubilee jersey of Joop Zoetemelk is special because 1980 is the year he won the Tour de France. Joop Zoetemelk was called the "eternal second" for a long time because he had competed in the Tour 16 times and finished as second five times but in 1980 he finally won the Tour de France. This is also the last time a Dutchman won the Tour.

This year the Tour takes place entirely in France. The cyclists start in Nice and finish in Paris after 21 stages. The Tour lasts from 29 August to 20 September. This is also the end date of the Baan4 competition.

Retro Cycling also has other yellow cycling jerseys. For example the BIC yellow jersey of Luis Ocaña from 1973the Reynolds yellow jersey of Pedro Delgado from 1988, and the Renault yellow jersey of Bernard Hinault from 1978.
